Stephanie was born in New York and attended undergraduate studies at Northeastern University in Boston, MA where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. She then pursued her graduate education where she earned a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University located in San Diego, CA. Stephanie relocated to South Florida in 2013 where she has since been working in the treatment field serving the needs and client population of those battling with substance abuse/addiction and mental health issues. She has work experience and clinical experience in a multitude of settings, including non-profit and dual-diagnosis treatment facilities, behavioral health centers, Department of Juvenile Justice probation offices and detention center, crisis houses and service provider for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Stephanie has a background in working with both men and women, as well as children, adolescents and adults. She is currently working as a primary therapist in the PHP level of care at Wayside House. Stephanie incorporates a variety of therapeutic practices in her approach with clients, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Client Centered, Humanistic and Integrative Therapy, as well as motivational interviewing and mindfulness techniques. She also identifies as a faith-based therapist who incorporates the spirit of faith to encourage hope when otherwise lost, as well as promote overall mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. Stephanie maintains a positive and optimistic spirit and is dedicated to helping and empowering those in need live a life free from addiction and suffering.
