Doreen began her journey with Wayside House in 2010 as an overnight behavioral health technician, where she quickly discovered her passion for helping women in recovery. After two years in that role, she transitioned to the admissions department, where she continued supporting clients and families for another two years.
Following her time at Wayside House, Doreen spent four years working in the for-profit sector of the addiction and recovery field but soon realized that her heart remained with Wayside House. Grateful for the opportunity to return in 2018, she rejoined the team, spending two years in admissions before earning her certification as a Recovery Peer Specialist.
Today, as the Community Outreach Specialist, Doreen thrives on building meaningful connections with the community and collaborating with other professionals who share her dedication to recovery. She has a wholehearted passion for Wayside House and deeply values its mission of empowering women to heal, grow, and reclaim their lives.
