Cassidy is a graduate of Florida A&M University with a Bachelor’s & Master’s degree in community psychology. She is an associate professional counselor in the State of Georgia. Cassidy’s experience began at community mental health in Georgia, working with school-age children from 7-21 as the primary therapist and merged into working with adult outpatient clients who struggled with a variety of mental illnesses.
Cassidy’s work focuses on several different areas including Neurodevelopmental disorders, Substance abuse, Grief/Loss, Anxiety disorders, Depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anger management, Relationship problems, difficult life transitions, poor coping skills, and work/school stressors. Cassidy currently works as a Residential Therapist/Outpatient Therapist for Wayside House. Cassidy is a known blogger, mental health advocate, and author of a self-care book entitled “Self-Careish: A Daily Affirmation Journal” to help encourage everyone to enhance their self-care plan to help with everyday stress. She takes a realistic approach to therapy and believes in helping her clients evolve into a healthier version of themselves.
